Pimple Patrol
Have you ever gotten those ugly red bumps or pimples on your face and have not been able to hide them. Well I have a trick for you. Use your concealer and dab it, and blend it. When you are done with your concealer apply a small amount of white liner. (Try using e.l.f eye widener in white) Then apply the rest of your makeup. The tone correction in the concealer and the lightening white color or eye widener lightens the redness of the area and makes it easier to cover up.

Change in My Life
So, I hope everything is going good for everyone. As for me, there is a huge shift going on in my life. I can't pay for my schooling (as I have no credit) so I had a huge decision to make. I am going into the Army Reserves. They are going to give me $75,000 for school, signing bonuses, and guaranteed work one weekend a month for $300 a weekend. I am loving that idea. My MOS is 31B in english that means my occupation is Military Police. This was a tough decision that I had to make considering that I won't be home for almost 5 months. It is going to be a long hard journey, but it will change me for the better. I am not only helping myself, but I am of the 1% in the United States that can say I am protecting the right for you to say and do as you please. I am protecting our rights! I am going to love training. I can't wait.....I'll keep you updated!

There's a Gap in my Life
So since I moved into the dorms, I haven't had a job. So when I went looking for one, I got one at Gap, Inc. in Aventura Mall. I don't really like working retail, but we will see how it pans out.

Wishful Thinking
Yesterday I went to Pilates, wow what a workout on my legs, and abs!!! and today was not too much different. I had class for 2 hours, then straight from there I changed and went to Kickboxing for an hour. That workout was intense.....straight 60 minutes of hard cardio!!!! Then from there I did an hour of Volleyball.....and right about now I am wishing for some Product Body Bubble Rubble. I have some sitting here in my desk drawer screaming to be tried out, but I have no bath tub!!!! I wish I did today! I am so sore and that sounds like the best treatment!

My Best Friend
So for anyone who actually knows me, you know how much I love chocolate! Well I found this website through Joanna called Sara's Candies and she has some interesting facts about chocolate
so here they are......
so here they are......
Chocolate stimulates the secretion of endorphins, producing a pleasurable sensation similar to the 'runner's high.'...Chocolate also contains a neurotransmitter serotonin that acts as an anti-depressant.
|
Chocolate's scientific name, theobroma cacao (\The`o*bro"ma\ \Ca*ca"o\) A literal translation is 'Food of The Gods'. Its feel good chemicals have long been associated with feelings of love, safety, and comfort.
|
Babies born to women who had been eating chocolate daily during pregnancy were more active and 'positively reactive'- a measure that encompasses traits such as smiling and laughter. And the babies of stressed women who had regularly consumed chocolate showed less fear of new situations than babies of stressed women who abstained.
|
Research reported cocoa powder and chocolate contain a relatively high amount of phenolic compounds, which possess antioxidant properties that may be beneficial in reducing the risk for coronary heart disease.
|
The finer varieties [of chocolate] provide a range of valuable nutrients....vitamin E, iron, and magnesium... and can help lift your mood.
|
It is the hidden substances [of chocolate] that are being craved as they are an antidepressant and help create a state of euphoria. This is why some people crave chocolate when they are feeling down. Chocolate also contains substances which act as stimulants thus giving energy.
|
Research indicates a possible antioxidant benefit in chocolate, similar to that found in red wine.
|
Chocolate contains vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E, as well as potassium, sodium, iron, and fluorine. Now, researchers say those creamy chocolate confections may actually help us live longer, too. Harvard researchers tracked nearly 8,000 males... Those men who enjoyed chocolate and candy lived almost a year longer than those who did not.
|
Antioxidants, flavonoids and the subgroup called catechins, are found in dark chocolate four times the amount that it is found in green tea. |

Au Naturale
In an earlier post, 3D Glass, I commented on how MAC was coming out with a new collection. Well I finally got to try my new product, and I love it. I bought it Synched Up, and it is gorgeous. It is a peachy color, so it gives a nice natural touch with a great gloss touch. When you put it on and the light hits it, it gives a gorgeous glimmer and 3D shine! So go out and find the color that best suits your personality.

Pumpkin me up!!!!
Last night right before i went to bed, i decided to try my delectable pumpkin scrub that I received in the mail. Once again, almost instantaneously, I was brought back to memories of thanksgiving in North Carolina, where the leaves are orange, and you can see your breath as you walk outside. Where fires were roaring and family meant everything! So I had done all my night time preparations already, you know washed my face, brushed my teeth, etc. Well I looked at my pumpkin scrub and knew exactly where I should use it. My face has been doing really well since I switched face soaps, and my face could have definitely used an exfoliation. Now anyone who has kept up with my entries knows how much I fell in love with Crush on you, but now, very similar to Joanna, I have moved that over for this wonderful newcomer! After I exfoliated with it, I LOVED how my skin felt, so smooth & soft....yea kind of like a baby's bottom! I have a new love now. And when I had my roommate smell it, she said, "you better watch out, I might eat your leg in the middle of the night!" All night, while trying to go to sleep all I wanted to do was touch my face and feel its smoothness, and eat what I was smelling. I recommend this product to EVERYONE, male or female, and regardless of age, not only for what it does for your skin, but because of how it smells, and the memories it entices. I just wish Joanna would make a pumpkin cream!!!!
