Pimple Patrol

Have you ever gotten those ugly red bumps or pimples on your face and have not been able to hide them. Well I have a trick for you. Use your concealer and dab it, and blend it. When you are done with your concealer apply a small amount of white liner. (Try using e.l.f eye widener in white) Then apply the rest of your makeup. The tone correction in the concealer and the lightening white color or eye widener lightens the redness of the area and makes it easier to cover up.

Change in My Life

So, I hope everything is going good for everyone. As for me, there is a huge shift going on in my life. I can't pay for my schooling (as I have no credit) so I had a huge decision to make. I am going into the Army Reserves. They are going to give me $75,000 for school, signing bonuses, and guaranteed work one weekend a month for $300 a weekend. I am loving that idea. My MOS is 31B in english that means my occupation is Military Police. This was a tough decision that I had to make considering that I won't be home for almost 5 months. It is going to be a long hard journey, but it will change me for the better. I am not only helping myself, but I am of the 1% in the United States that can say I am protecting the right for you to say and do as you please. I am protecting our rights! I am going to love training. I can't wait.....I'll keep you updated!

There's a Gap in my Life

So since I moved into the dorms, I haven't had a job. So when I went looking for one, I got one at Gap, Inc. in Aventura Mall. I don't really like working retail, but we will see how it pans out.

My Best Friend

So for anyone who actually knows me, you know how much I love chocolate! Well I found this website through Joanna called Sara's Candies and she has some interesting facts about chocolate
so here they are......

Chocolate stimulates the secretion of endorphins, producing a pleasurable sensation similar to the 'runner's high.'...Chocolate also contains a neurotransmitter serotonin that acts as an anti-depressant.

natural cacao bean and powder Chocolate's scientific name, theobroma cacao (\The`o*bro"ma\ \Ca*ca"o\)
A literal translation is 'Food of The Gods'.
Its feel good chemicals have long been associated with feelings of love, safety, and comfort.

Babies born to women who had been eating chocolate daily during pregnancy were more active and 'positively reactive'- a measure that encompasses traits such as smiling and laughter. And the babies of stressed women who had regularly consumed chocolate showed less fear of new situations than babies of stressed women who abstained.

Research reported cocoa powder and chocolate contain a relatively high amount of phenolic compounds, which possess antioxidant properties that may be beneficial in reducing the risk for coronary heart disease.

The finer varieties [of chocolate] provide a range of valuable nutrients....vitamin E, iron, and magnesium... and can help lift your mood.

It is the hidden substances [of chocolate] that are being craved as they are an antidepressant and help create a state of euphoria. This is why some people crave chocolate when they are feeling down. Chocolate also contains substances which act as stimulants thus giving energy.

Research indicates a possible antioxidant benefit in chocolate, similar to that found in red wine.

Chocolate contains vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E, as well as potassium, sodium, iron, and fluorine. Now, researchers say those creamy chocolate confections may actually help us live longer, too. Harvard researchers tracked nearly 8,000 males... Those men who enjoyed chocolate and candy lived almost a year longer than those who did not.

Antioxidants, flavonoids and the subgroup called catechins, are found in dark chocolate four times the amount that it is found in green tea.

Au Naturale

In an earlier post, 3D Glass, I commented on how MAC was coming out with a new collection. Well I finally got to try my new product, and I love it. I bought it Synched Up, and it is gorgeous. It is a peachy color, so it gives a nice natural touch with a great gloss touch. When you put it on and the light hits it, it gives a gorgeous glimmer and 3D shine! So go out and find the color that best suits your personality.

Pumpkin me up!!!!

Last night right before i went to bed, i decided to try my delectable pumpkin scrub that I received in the mail. Once again, almost instantaneously, I was brought back to memories of thanksgiving in North Carolina, where the leaves are orange, and you can see your breath as you walk outside. Where fires were roaring and family meant everything! So I had done all my night time preparations already, you know washed my face, brushed my teeth, etc. Well I looked at my pumpkin scrub and knew exactly where I should use it. My face has been doing really well since I switched face soaps, and my face could have definitely used an exfoliation. Now anyone who has kept up with my entries knows how much I fell in love with Crush on you, but now, very similar to Joanna, I have moved that over for this wonderful newcomer! After I exfoliated with it, I LOVED how my skin felt, so smooth & soft....yea kind of like a baby's bottom! I have a new love now. And when I had my roommate smell it, she said, "you better watch out, I might eat your leg in the middle of the night!" All night, while trying to go to sleep all I wanted to do was touch my face and feel its smoothness, and eat what I was smelling. I recommend this product to EVERYONE, male or female, and regardless of age, not only for what it does for your skin, but because of how it smells, and the memories it entices. I just wish Joanna would make a pumpkin cream!!!!

Nifty tricks #2- Dirty Little Deodorant

Have you ever wondered why no matter how you try to get into your dark colored shirt or dress you always get deodorant stains on it? I have and I hate it. I am always so careful when I put on my clothes especially when its black, but it never fails....deodorant lines!!!!! I hate them. Well for all of you who sit there and try water to rub it off, or any other method that does not work this nifty trick is dedicated to you. Take a dryer sheet from your laundry room, and gently rub the deodorant area. This will help get rid of that menace. A Friend of mine told me this little trick and I had not really tried it. Well one night before I was going out a girlfriend of a friend walked into the house. The whole back of her pants was covered in white. She tried just to pat if on, no deal, it was not working. So I told her to try the dryer sheet, now this wasn't a deodorant stain, it was a little worse, but the dryer sheet took it all away....nifty huh?

Turn up the volume!!!!

OK so I don't know how many of you have hair like mine, but sometimes I really hate it! My mom used to tell me that my biological parents were Asian because my hair is board straight. It is also very thin, so doesn't have much texture or volume to it. Well that all changed when I found this product. Garnier Fructis Style Volume Inject Mousse is now my best friend. Just a little bit of this product massaged into your hair from the scalp down will add the right amount of volume to your hair. It also works for people who have curly hair. I know this because I found this product through someone with that kind of hair! This product works miracles you should try it, especially if you have hair like mine!

NightLife

One day I walked into work and noticed 3 different colored bottles on my desk. I turned to my boss and asked her what they were. She told me that they were lip glosses and she did not like them because there was too much glitter in them, and that I was to have them. I thought that was really cool. Well When I looked at them I noticed they were the new Rimmel Underground Lightbeam After dark lip glosses with the light beam, and it has a little mirror on the side. Perfect for when you are in a club and want an extra kick of shine on your lips, on the side you have a mirror, and at the top of the cap, a button which activates a light, no need for the bathroom. As you look in the mirror and focus the lighted wand towards your lips, all you see is where exactly your gloss needs to be applied. Or maybe you're having that romantic dinner on a first date, after dinner her gets up to go use the restroom and you notice that the restaurant is a tad too dark, but hey you have your new lip gloss. I love it! One of my favorite colors is spotlight. Spotlight is a very sheer gloss with a slight hint of color. you don't really notice its "hot pink" appearance, you just have nice shine and cotton candy smell. I think every girl needs at least one bottle, because who knows when you will have to reapply. It is IT girl accessory for the girl on the go.

Beyond being a great gloss, I also think it is ingenious for women going to their cars alone at night or trying to get into their homes in the dark. Use the gloss to quickly light up the keyhole and you will no longer be fumbling when that creepy guy that wants your number tries to follow you to your car.

Nifty Tricks- Shower Curtain Nightmare

So I have decided to create a section in my blog dedicated to Nifty tricks that are picked up, that just help with everyday life!

I decided to make my first one dedicated shower curtains. For those of you who notice in your shower or on your shower curtain, build ups of flaky, or reddish pink spots, they are not harmless. When scientists looked at it under a microscope they found, a mix of soap, bacteria and bacteria waste products or mucous that forms thin, crusty layers. This bacteria can cause many health problems. And for you women, it can even cause UTI's. But there is a way, other than harsh soap scum products to get those vinyl and plastic shower curtains clean. It is recommended that once a week you clean it. The easy way that I use is to stick it in the washer, on hot! let the heat kill the bacteria. You don't have to use soap/detergent, but if you would like that's fine, especially if it has bleach or a bleach alternative. Once it is done, let it air dry, and then put it back in the bathroom. If your concerned because it comes out with wrinkles, don't worry, the heat and steam from your next shower will take that all away.

If you have any Nifty tricks of your own, that you'd like to share feel free to email me at morgan.constantin@gmail.com

Products can help anyone

So I am going off to college, and of course I need to stock up on my products, MAC makeup, sweetspot labs, Monavie, Product Body, and all the other main stays in my life! So I ordered a bunch of stuff from Product Body, of course more shea butters in more scents including Citrus Rhubarb Explosion, and Sweet Vanilla Mango. I got the cream in Sweet Vanilla Mango, and A Crush on You in Citrus Rhubarb Explosion. I love this stuff what can I say. Well all of it was very fresh, and as I was opening my package I realized there were some samples of Crush on You in Lemon Essential. I had an idea. My boyfriend is a Honda technician and works on cars all day. He comes home and his hands are dirty, and rough. So last week I decided to put him on a skin regimen. I taught him how to properly exfoliate his hands, and follow with moisturizer. I had been using the crush on you samples from my previous orders (as I had not yet bought my own) He loved it, well so did I, his hands were so smooth, and well not quite as dirty. I got him HOOKED!!!! he loves the stuff, so when I came home with the 2 samples this time, he was so happy! Now he realizes why I love this stuff so much. He can actually touch me without me saying ouch! He has always loved how soft my skin was, and now his is getting that way! Well the scents are great! I love them and I can't wait for the lavender bubble rubble to come out! I need to stock up on more items, if anyone has any product suggestions for college feel free to share.....Ta Ta for now!

Endangered Palm Oil?

I stole this from Joanna. I thought this was something that everyone should be aware of, whether or not they want to help the environment.

"Palm Oil is one of my favorite oils in soap making. It contributes to a harder bar and also helps Coconut Oil do its job and lather up big bubbles. Unfortunately, there are some negative repercussions from using Palm Oil to the environment. How can something natural be harmful to the environment? Demand for palm oil is the leading cause for rain forest deforestation in Malaysia and Indonesia, according to
Friends of the Earth. The land occupied by palm oil plantations has doubled in the last ten years in Indonesia, endangering the habitat of the orangutan, Asian elephant and the Sumatran tiger. These plantations pollute the soil and water with use of pesticides.Things that you can do if you're a soap maker using Palm Oil: try to use Olive, Sunflower and Canola in larger proportions in your recipe. Buy sustainably grown Palm Oil that is grown in rehabilitated agricultural areas or from smaller farms that don't harm animal habitat and migration patterns. You can support companies that are part of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil Production, co founded by the World Wildlife Fund."

Allergic Reaction!

So if you have read my blog before you know how much I love my products!!! Especially my MAC makeup. Well I tried MAC's new line called Tendertones, bought their lip moisterizer called hush hush. Well I already use their regular tinted lip moisterizer, so I figured how bad could it be? Well it was bad. I tried it and my top lip broke out in this dry skin that would not go away. I wasn't sure if it was the lip conditioner that was doing it. I mean like I said I had used their other product before. Well on Sunday I went to Key Largo and when I went in the salt water I noticed my lips were burning really bad! I didn't know what was causing it, and sure enough the next day my top lip had that dry skin feeling again, I had used that product again, two days before. So now my lip feels funny! So me being the product junkie I am I find a product that I think will aid in taking it away....I go straight for my Product Body whipped Shea butter, and start applying it to my lips. That was yesterday and sure enough today it is half gone.....Thank heaven for Product Body...can't wait to try their new scents!!!!

SweetSpots?

Ok so I have to admit, when I first heard about this product on megs makeup reviews, I was like "WHAT?" Then I decided to get the free offer. The offer was, if you could send recomendations to friends they would send samples, and I LOVE samples, so I did. I loved the product, which happened to be the pH balancing on-the-go wipes. They were great, especially when that special friend came to visit. So later I got the mist and some more wipes. I love it. They both make you feel spot refreshed when used, and they are a perfect balance for your "down-there" parts! I love it, and wouldn't go out without one in my pocket (or purse)! So if you need one more person to add to get that little sample use my email. morgan.constantin@gmail.com, seriously I don't mind, because maybe you'll get hooked like I did. Oh and did I mention they come in different scents. 1. Citrus Galbanum, 2. geranium lavender, 3.basil grapefruit, or 4. if you don't like your sweet spot scented...unscented. Here is the website....click and check out their products. Sweet Spot Labs

Long Time

I know it has been a while since I posted, but my account got hacked into, and therefore had to begin a new one. So here it is. And hopefully with the purchase of new products I will keep posting.

Explosive!

I know that recently I have been writing a lot about a company named Product Body, but for any of you that have tried it, you know why. The first product I experienced was the double whipped shea butter, then the samples of crush on you, and now finally I have found my purpose for their Mama Bomb. I love it! But it's not just because it gets rid of those nasty little stretch marks, it's because of a deeper, more personal reason. Now I have a disease that is not too pretty, and certainly does not make you feel to pretty. Genetically, all my appocrine sweat glands are infected. And when I say all, i mean ALL. any where there is one I get these break outs. They come from the onset of stress, or eating unhealthy, etc. Well like I said it's not too pretty. the other day i began to get an outbreak, and when a break out occurs it leaves nasy scars, so I figured what I would do is use the mama bomb to kinda tone down the scarring (they are unbearably hideous). So I applied the mama bomb to the affected areas, and went to sleep. I hadn't really noticed them the next day, but two days later I looked at the area, and they were almost gone, healed, and with almost no scarring! That to me is a miracle, cuz these breakouts usually last weeks! I love this stuff, it is perfect to keep handy for cuts and scrapes you don't want scaring, or maybe a little moisture boost, but to me, it is perfect all around!!!!

RETRACTION!

Ok so I am taking back my comment about Crush on you by Product Body! No, not in a bad way, I am talking about in a good way. I had said that immediately afterwards I really didn't notice a difference in the sugar shea scrub, but after speaking with Joanna and doing some heavy duty cleaning I decided to go for another review. Last Sunday I spent the day cleaning. First it was washing 3 cars. The doing dishes, cleaning the house, etc. Well after using all the different products to clean with my hands felt horrible. I now felt like they were made out of sand paper! So immediately I went and grabbed the sample bottle I still had of the crush on you, put some in the palm of my hand and began 'exfoliating'. When you talk about dramatic, this was it, in the context of the change in my hands before use of this product, and after. I love it!!!! This product doesn't deserve my review before! It deserves more. So if you are ever in dire need of some exfoliation, this is the product you should turn to.

Lust, Love, or a Crush on You

I heard about this Product line 'Product Body' through a co-worker of mine who found it on a beauty blog. She was raving about the prducts, their sent, and how well they worked, so of course me being the product junkie I am I decided to take a try. So I went on their website and ordered their Whipped Shea Butter in Yuzu scent. I recieved the product, and instantly opened it. The scent was so fresh and citrusy and almost immediately i had wished I could have taken a butter knife and spread it all over my body. It doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy, but it leaves it fresh and moisturized! So then i looked in the box and realized they had also sent me a small sample of this Crush on You Sugar Shea Scrub in Pink Grapefruit scent. I had left it on my dresser waiting for the right time to try it, I mean the jar is so small I didn't want to just waste it. Then I ordered another product, Their Mama Bomb, in Citrus Butter, which by the way is excellent for strech marks, for before, during or after pregnancy, etc. And again in the box was another sample of this crush on you, this time in the same yuzu scent i had my shea butter in. So 2 nights ago i decided to try it while in the shower. Just to test the product I tried it on my hands. The sugar melts into your skin while exfoliating, it was wonderful, and then when I was done I wiped my hands, probably out of shear force of habit, as not to feel greasy (which this product does not make you feel at all) and I really didn't feel any different, I wondered what the whole hype was about. I mean I had used scrubs before, and never liked the greasy feeling, but as far as exfoliation, it didn't feel any different. The next morning i woke up and felt a huge difference in the way my skin felt. It was insane to think that it actually worked even though immediatley after I didn't notice. Then the real answer about Crush on You came. I was at my boyfriends house last night, and while watching my favorite TV show, I started to rub on his chest a little, and he kind of jumped up and said to me "Oh my G-d, your hands are so soft!" Now my boyfriend (like most men) is not the most observant, and he actually noticed, that's when I knew this was the best scrub I had ever used! I love it, and I can't wait to get the large jar; in every scent!
